The main purpose of thsi class is to ensure taht everyone is familiar with a set of basic computing tasks: typesetting documents (with figures, tables, equations and references); creating presentations; manipulating data and making figures; and basic programming. We will focus on Latex, Word, Powerpoint, Excel, and Python.
